Principal's Message

Dear DMS Families,

As we begin this next chapter together, I want to share what continues to guide us at Duluth Middle School: Leading Like Champions.

In Beyond High Performance, Jason Jaggard asks a meaningful question: What are you capable of when you lean into challenges - together? At DMS, we believe champions grow through learning, perseverance, and a willingness to try, even when things feel difficult.

Each day, our teachers work hard to create welcoming, supportive classrooms where students feel safe to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and explore new ideas. Our focus goes beyond academics; we also emphasize character, collaboration, and resilience so students can grow both in and out of the classroom.

We know every student is unique. We thoughtfully adjust our daily instruction to meet students’ academic, social, and emotional needs. This approach helps students build confidence, develop strong skills, and prepare for success now and in the future.

Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. Together, we are building a strong, caring, and student-centered community at Duluth Middle School. We look forward to continuing this journey with you - leading like champions, together.
