Melissa Dorsey

Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Coordinator

I have been a classroom teacher at Duluth Middle for the past 26 years, and I have been the MTSS Coordinator for 3 years.  I analyze student data to determine which students at Duluth Middle need additional interventions and support. In the course of my job, I work directly with teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, Special Education department chairs, and parents to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.  Additionally, I work one-on-one with students to support their individual needs as they progress through middle school.
