Volleyball

The DMS Lady Wildcats Volleyball team will be competing against other middle schools in Gwinnett County for several regular-season games and playoffs. Volleyball is sport that requires teamwork, coordination, and toughness, both mental and physical. You must be a team player and great listening skills. A variety of personalities and people are needed to help achieve the team’s full potential. You do not have to be the most skilled but must have a willingness to listen and work hard. You must have a current physical on file to try out and participate and you will be expected to maintain passing grades in all classes throughout the duration of the season. Tryouts will take place May 5-9th, which is at the end school year. The season will officially start in the beginning of 2025-2026 School year. You will be informed of when practice will start but it is expected to start two weeks before school starts. Times for practice before school starts will be discussed either during tryouts or directly after tryouts

Mon – Fri after school

Games:

Saturday (2 all day Tournaments)

Wednesday evenings (Regular Season Games)

Tryouts:

May 5th-9th

Grade Level: 5th-7th Graders

Requirements:

In order to try out, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Your parent must create a Rank One account and upload the required forms before tryouts. Please see instructions for Rank One.
2. You must have proof of insurance and showing good progress in academics and behavior during the first 9 weeks of this school year
3. You must have passed 5 out of 6 classes in the spring semester of 7th grade
4. You must not be a retainee.
5. You must not be a transition student
6. You must have an active physical from a doctor (forms can be picked up in the front office). Physicals are good for one year (June 10-June 11, etc.)
